Education/License/Certification: MA Certifice/Diploma required. Graduate from an approved Medical Assistant Program required.


Qualifications:
Recent medical office experience, preferably inPediatrics,or must successfully complete theof O.C. MA orientation program prior to start date. MA training should include the ability to give injections and oral medications under supervision of licensed personnel. Knowledge of Medical Documentation standards. Principles of sterile technique. Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, colleagues and members. Team player, ability to work well in a fast pace environment. Must be customer serviced focused. Must have current tests/certificates completed/attached within the posting period otherwise your transfer will not be considered on time for this position.May include alternating weekends and holiday shifts per business necessity. May be scheduled 2 hours before or 2 hours after posted shift.This position is located at the Irvine MOB. Will rotate to other deparments as needed.


Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Pediatric Nephrology, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine including the patient care of children and adults. Basic PC keyboard knowledge. Self starter, innovative, flexible. Proficiency using Kaiser computer systems.

Duties:
Under direct supervision, performs patient care duties following established policies, procedures and protocols. Assists in procedure and treatment rooms. Maintains files. Completes tests and referral forms Performs telephone duties. Functions as a resource person for patients when appropriate.
