Job Description
You'll perform validation of equipment, utility/automation systems, processes and facilities for projects on various ALZA campuses. You'll execute test plans according to approved procedures, collecting samples, tabulating test results, and organizing data packages. In addition, you will participate on cross-functional teams in support of Technology Development, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and other groups to complete assigned validation projects. You will execute equipment change requests; prepare draft protocols, reports and data tables; review peers' work; and independently address a variety of problems of moderate scope. You may train peers/personnel from other groups and interface with contractors.
Job Requirements
A BS/BA degree and 8+ years validation experience in a cGMP environment, or 10-12 years technical experience in the pharmaceutical industry, are required. You need experience with validation equipment, and physical testing, along with demonstrated competence in validation principals and concepts, regulatory expectations, and industry practices. Success in this position will require good technical documentation, communication and presentation ability, mechanical aptitude, and problem solving/interpersonal skills. MS Word and Excel competency is expected, as is working knowledge of cGMP.
