Position Description
Software Developer
We are looking for a software engineer to develop applications for use by the institutional investment industry, predicting corporate earnings surprises and measuring the performance of Wall Street analysts.
We have several Mensa-caliber developers and we are looking to add one or two more innovative engineers with solid programming skills to the team. We would most like to hear from sharp developers with commercial development experience who are very interested in working with stock market data, Oracle, NT, object-oriented programming (C++) and open source technologies: PHP, MySQL, Linux and Apache.
Responsibilities
Work with other developers to design, build and enhance Internet-based stock market analysis applications
Full life-cycle development: from user requirements to development & quality improvement
Develop on all tiers: GUI, Internet connectivity, application servers, business objects and database
Work on multiple applications in multiple environments such as NT and Linux
Requirements
Strong objected-oriented design and development skills
1+ years developing commercial software products
Strong SQL skills and experience working with large databases (100,000+ rows)
Interest and/or experience in the stock market, finance, or statistics
Proven extraordinary accomplishments (come on and wow us!)
BS/MS in Engineering, Economics, Math or CS
Preferred
Strong Delphi skills and web-scripting skills: PHP, ASP or PERL
