Johnson & Johnson is seeking two transactional attorneys to join our high quality and collegial legal team based in Mountain View, California, to provide support for the commercial development, manufacturing and R&D organizations of ALZA Corporation, a Johnson & Johnson Company. As part of the Johnson & Johnson legal team based at ALZA, your primary job will be to assist in the growth of ALZA's vital product development business through your involvement in the creation of new collaborations with the world's leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. You will draft and negotiate a variety of business agreements, including product development, material transfer, technology licensing, supply, confidentiality, consulting and service contracts. You will also counsel in-house clients on a wide range of general contract, commercial, liability, pharmaceutical development, and intellectual property issues.
Job Requirements
We anticipate that the team at ALZA will also come to support transaction based activities at other J&J affiliates on the west coast. Candidates should have a law degree from a nationally accredited law school and four to fifteen years experience in a top law firm or in-house legal department, along with expertise in contract negotiation in areas such as technology licensing, manufacturing, and/or operations (preferably in the biotech/pharmaceutical areas).
Successful candidates must be able to handle many diverse clients and projects, be able to adapt to a changing workload, have good interpersonal skills and a strong collaborative workstyle.
