Associate Director, Marketing And New Business Dev
Associate Directors are pivotal in marketing The Advisory Boards core research programs and services to prospective members and in securing new member and client relationships for the firm. Responsibilities include:

Associate Directors are pivotal in marketing The Advisory Boards core research programs and services to prospective members and in securing new member and client relationships for the firm. In this entrepreneurial role, ADs are responsible for driving the acquisition of new business within an assigned territory through a consultative selling process in which they build relationships with senior executives to market Advisory Board membership programs. Specific responsibilities include:

Independently develop and execute strategic plan for approaching and marketing to an assigned prospect pool.
Meet and build relationships with senior executives (CEO, CFO, CMO, etc.) through presenting and discussing industry trends, best in class strategies and The Advisory Board's provision of strategic research and operations improvement services.
Follow-up on prospect meetings and successfully negotiate and acquire new clients and expanded memberships for existing clients.
Monitor progress against annual and mid-year goals and present to internal audiences.
Contribute to development of and participate in department-wide campaigns and incentives.
Provide insights from marketing visits to inform future research initiatives and new product development inquiries.

Characteristics of the ideal candidate:
Entrepreneurial drive track record of initiative, personal responsibility, and ownership of work to meet monthly, quarterly and annual financial goals
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build lasting client relationships
Strong analytics and real time judgment
Maturity, poise, grace under pressure
High energy, positive attitude and team orientation in all interactions
Excellent presentation and negotiation skills, able to create and deliver convincing arguments
Willingness to Travel (The position requires 60-70% travel)
Experience in health care industry and/or strong interest in learning health care
