Classification: Full Time

Compensation: 70K

ESTATE PLANNING PARALEGAL MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE:

The position includes preparation of probate documents, inventories, on-going account administration, preparation of federal and state tax returns including Forms 706, Forms 1041, Forms 990-PF and Forms 1040

This paralegal will do the following:
· Manage estates with minimum value of 1 million dollars each;
·Gather and assess information to prepare appropriate documents to open, administrate and close probate proceedings;
·Develop effective working relationships with clients to assess and facilitate their needs;
·Manage all probate filings with the court, including but not limited to: filings of wills, petitions for probate and publications;
·Prepare and file Federal and State tax returns for each applicable estate;
·Analyze all documents relevant and necessary to establish and fund the varied accounts of each estate;
·Calculate values for stocks, bonds, and notes;
·Collect all pertinent information to assess the client’s estate worth;
·Create document to place successor trustees according to parameters of Trust Agreements;
·Prepare and record real estate deeds and relative documents transferring title of client’s real property;
·Process life insurance claim forms to collect death benefits;
.Extensive telephone contact with financial institutions to better assess clients assets;

This Trust and Estate Group provides personalized estate and gift planning involving the review of assets and drafting of wills and trusts as well as traditional probate legal services and sophisticated tax planning. Unlike most other law firms, however, individual lawyers in this group also offer estate and trust administration services, accepting designation as executors and trustees, supported by established professional investment management procedures and an automated trust accounting system.

This position specializes in family estate planning and administration. The best candidate will be able to offer highly personalized service--the right combination of experience, professionalism and “people” skills.

The lawyers at this firm have had many years experience serving clients not only as legal advisors but also as professional fiduciaries in the capacity of executor or trustee. This experience and the necessary trust accounting systems to back it up are available to clients who wish to make use of this service.
